Creating custom shotgun and rifle stocks that are completely unique to you, transforming your shooting experience.
The key advantage of a bespoke stock lies in the perfect fit and personalisation that it offers. Unlike many off-the-shelf guns that are designed to accommodate a wide range of people, a custom gun stock is crafted to your unique specifications.
Once the stock has been fitted, your consistency and accuracy will increase, the felt recoil should be noticeably less, which in turn creates an easier, more enjoyable shooting experience.

In addition to improved accuracy, the visual appeal of a custom gunstock is also what we pride ourselves in. You can choose from a range of woods and finishes, with Turkish walnut being frequently chosen for its characteristic marbling effect.
Whether you would like gold ovals, custom engraving, a darker stock, or Best London finish we understand the importance of being able to personalise the design and finish to reflect your personality and taste.

We use the highest quality materials and finishes, and with our designated Turkish Walnut supplier, if you have a particular type of gunstock in mind, for example certain grain patterns or colours, our supplier can find a blank that suitably matches what you are looking for.
A smooth process, keeping you regularly updated
We like to keep you regularly updated on the progress of your gunstock with pictures and will also invite you to our workshop so you can ensure that you are happy with the fit and feel of the gun.

You can read more about our process of making a custom gunstock below.
1. Consultation and measurements
Often our customers reach out to us as their shotgun is broken, they do not like the wood, or the gun does not fit them. During the initial consultation, we will assess you with your gun, work out what needs to be adjusted and take measurements accordingly. If you have a gun that does fit you well, then you can bring this with you and measurements can be taken from this. However, if you do not have another gun that fits you then this is not a problem.
2. Blank selection
When selecting your blank, the three main types of walnut that can be used are Turkish Walnut, American Black Walnut and British Walnut.

Turkish Walnut is renowned for its black marbling effect. American Black Walnut is the cheapest as it’s the lowest grade in terms of aesthetics, but the highest grade in terms of strength. English Walnut is considered to be the perfect middle ground, with a finer grain that is less coarse and more subtle, however demands a higher price due to its rarity.

Our Turkish Walnut supplier provides us with exceptional quality blanks, and when choosing you will be able to see pictures of the marbling on the blank from both sides as well as the top so you can see the grain direction, before your chosen blank is shipped to the UK.
3. Inletting, including mechanisms such as adjustable combs etc.
In this step we carefully marry the wood to the metalwork, ensuring a tight and secure fit, making sure to keep everything in line with the measurements taken during the consultation.
4. Shaping and rough sanding
Following inletting, we then shape and roughly sand the stock and forend to match your specifications.
5. Client testing
You will then be invited back to confirm that you are happy with how the gun feels and the measurements are correct. You will also be able to shoot your gun on a pattern plate to ensure that it is centred. Any fine adjustments can then be made to ensure the gun is perfect for you.
6. Finishing and chequering
Following any appropriate adjustments, the next step is finishing and chequering. We offer a range of finishes, from traditional hand-rubbed oil, to modern high-performance spray lacquers. Whether you would like intricate chequering or engraving to add a personal touch, these are done by hand to ensure that the gun is completely bespoke to you.
7. Final inspection and testing
With the gun finished, all the parts are cleaned, inspected and assembled. The gun is tested at the workshop to ensure everything is working correctly and then returned to the customer.
